Серверы HP ProLiant SL160z G6 (SL 160z G6) предназначены для компаний, работающих с большими серверными парками и датацентрами. Для таких пользователей экономия буквально нескольких долларов в месяц с каждого сервера уже является существенной.
В новинках поддерживается до до двух процессоров Xeon® 5500, максимальный объем памяти DDR3 - 144 Гб (18 DIMM слотов), в серверах HP ProLiant SL160z G6 установлен Ethernet-контроллер NC362i
HP ProLiant SL160z G6 выполнены в "голом" дизайне, на них нет традиционной для стоечных серверов фронтальной панели, больше они похожи на увеличенные блейд-серверы. Это позволило снизить вес сервера на 31%, уменьшить расходы на приобретение до 10% и сократить издержки, связанные с поставкой. В новинках используется и новая система охлаждения - четыре крупных вентилятора вместо множества небольших. Консолидированная схема энергопитания и специальная общая система охлаждения дают возможность сократить энергопотребление на 28% и снизить уровень шума.
